Necklace with Ammolite

Ammolite is a gemstone formed from the fossilized shells of ancient ammonites. It is one of the few biogenic gemstones, like amber and pearl. The name “Ammolite” comes from the ancient Egyptian god Amun, who was depicted with the head of a ram and spiral horns resembling the shape of an ammonite shell. There are three qualities that best describe this stone: perfection, wisdom, and knowledge.

In this amulet, I intertwined this beautiful stone with a round slice of wood and a warm brown cord. At the ends of the tying chain, I added tiger’s eye beads, and at the bottom of the necklace hangs a lunula pendant — a symbol of power and protection.
